Limited edition miniature of Italian Army Major General Enrico Francisci known as "The Fighting General" for his courageous and inspiring leadership style. Initially fighting in the Greek campaign and on the Russian front before being redeployed to Sicily. He was killed while leading the Gruppo Tactico Venturi in a counterattack against the US 3rd Infantry Division. He was posthumously awarded the Italian Gold Medal for Military Valor, joining a series of honors previously awarded.
