Product Description
The Su-17 Fitter is a design improvement over the Su-7 Fitter replacing the Su-7's fixed wing configuration with a variable-sweep wing. This modification improved its range and performance. The Su-17 Fitter is mainly used for ground attack where it can be armed with missiles, rockets, and guns.
The Poles replaced their aging SU-7B fighter-bombers with 27 Sukhoi SU-20s in 1974 and a further 110 later model Sukhoi SU-22s in 1984.
