28mm 28mm VF65a ringstand with 5cm Kwk AT gun
The VF (Verstärkt Feldmäßig) was a series of light bunkers with walls between one and two meters thick and no airtight seal or ventilation. The Vf65a was designed for the fearsome 5cm KwK 39 L/60 (5 cm Kampfwagenkanone 39 L/60) a 50 mm calibre anti tank gun, same as that used as the main armament on later models of the German Panzer III. The gun itself comes in only 6 easy to assemble parts and there are also 2 sprue of ammo boxes and shells included, both full and empty, to add even more realism and detail to your model!
This bunker body comes in two parts printed in FDM, for a great concrete look just brush it over with very diluted tile grout! The 5cm AT gun is supplied as a highly detailed 3D resin print in kit.
Overall size is 100 x 100mm and the height (including the gun) is 46mm.

Baueda’s VF65A gun nest.
I wanted a better version of the gun kit that comes with the Warlord Games Pegasus Bridge set. The details on the Baueda kit are about better, but because it’s a 3D printed kit there are a lot of stl print lines. A lot. The bunker is easy enough to clean up with some sand paper. The gun itself had a droop in the barrel that was reset with some hot water and an ice water plunge to freeze it. The gun and the accessories will have to skip the wash stage or it will accentuate those lines. Overall I’m pretty happy with the kit. Comparable to the Warlord one, but with less detail and no stl lines it evens the two out.
