10.5cm NbW40 (GE597)
includes one Command SMG team, one Observer Rifle team, three 10.5cm NbW40 heavy mortars with crew, one Small three-hole base, one Small two-hole base, three Large six-hole bases, & one Base plug sprue.
The 10.5cm Nebelwerfer 40 (or 10.5cm NbW40) was utilised by the Germany Army during World War Two.
Developed with intention of delivering chemical payloads such as gas or smoke shells, it could also fire standard high explosive (or HE) rounds.
Unlike most mortars, the 10.5cm NbW40 featured was loaded via the breech and the tube was permanently attached to its wheeled carriage which simply folded down for transport purposes. Its performance was in terms of range was over twice that over earlier models but at the expense weighing nearly eight times mores.
